Product Info for UNISLIP 8712

Downloads

UNISLIP 8712 is a slip agent, which contains no inert material and is completely water-soluble. UNISLIP 8712 will keep the leather very clean while reducing friction and preventing tie-ups and tear-offs. UNISLIP 8712 is a tan powder, which when mixed in water forms a slippery vehicle in order to reduce friction within the system. It also aids in preventing uneven coloring, grain scuffing, and wear and tear on motors used to power the tanning drums.

AMOUNT TO BE USED: It is extremely difficult to give an exact percentage of UNISLIP 8712 required to solve a particular problem, but the general recommendation is 0.25 to 1.0% UNISLIP 8712 based on the blue shaved weight.

Remember to re-add UNISLIP 8712 after each wash because UNISLIP 8712 is completely removed during a wash operation. UNISLIP 8712, like all of our Unislip products, contains no surfactants or wetting agents and can be safely used while manufacturing water repellent leathers with no adverse effects on Maeser Flexes.
