Product Info for UNITHANE F-40 NF

Downloads

UNITHANE F-40 NF is a soft, small particle size, light fast waterborne polyurethane that is N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidinone free. It is designed for use in base coat or topcoat formulations where it will improve adhesion and flexibility when used in conjunction with acrylic dispersions. UNITHANE F-40 NF has excellent adhesion properties on oil pull-up type leathers and can be used with or without solvent. If solvent must be used it is recommended to use in the ration 1 part UNITHANE F-40 NF with 1 part suitable solvent and 1 part water. Where ecology considerations are necessary propylene glycol is a recommended solvent. If it is used without solvent the recommended ratio is 1 part UNITHANE F-40 NF and 3 parts water. For best adhesion to oily and waxy leathers we suggest swabbing although spraying can also be done especially if solvent is used.
